RV’s Literary Magazine Inklings is accepting submissions for its annual Fall Writing Contest. The Inklings Editors are searching for powerful poetry, riveting stories, and thoughtful personal essays. Writers are encouraged to write about any topic or theme they wish. Winning entries will also be recognized and published in our 2026 edition of Inkling’s Magazine! Our first place winner will receive a one year subscription to Poetry Magazine and a cash prize.

• Deadline: Tuesday, November 25th

• Accepting: Fiction, Nonfiction, Short Stories, and Poetry

• Requirements for Fiction / Nonfiction:

  • 12 Point Font (Ariel, Cambria)

  • Double Spaced

  • 6-10 pages maximum

  • Include a title

• Requirements for Poetry:

  • 12 Point Font (Ariel, Cambria)

  • 3 poems maximum

  • 4 pages maximum

  • Title each poem

• Submit using the Google Form

Inklings 2025 explores the topics of identity, family, body image, gender, race, friendship, romance, and beyond. We proudly published 14 student authors and 10 student artists.
