Inklings Literary Magazine highlights and celebrates the free artistic expression of students at Rancocas Valley Regional High School in print and online. Any student who loves to read, write, or has the desire to share their work with a supportive community of likeminded students is welcome to join.

Meetings are held on Wednesdays during tutorial in room C217.
Inklings is published once a year. All written and artistic work is created by and selected by RVRHS students.
Our submissions period is typically open for 3 months, beginnning in February/March; the magazine is published in late May/early June.
Inklings Editors review and discuss each submission. Editors are empowered to accept and reject work. Submissions are read blind (names of authors are not revealed).
On occasion, issues are themed. In most cases, Editors select work based on their preferences and group discussions.
Inklings publishes 200 copies per year. The issue is free.

Ariana Ali is a Sophomore at RV and is a staff member of the Lit Mag. Ariana loves to sleep even though she doesn’t get any. She loves to draw and write out anything that comes out of her head, even though it doesn’t always come out the way she wants it. But that’s okay, she knows it.

Isidora Amador is a sophomore at RV, and has too much free time yet still manages to procrastinate. She's on the tennis team, runs the chess club, is skilled at all things art related, and is on litmag.

Jack Antinovitch is a Senior at RV. This is his second year as an official member of Lit Mag, but he had attended a few meetings unofficially in the past. He loves writing when he has the time and is involved with more clubs than he can count. Including Jewish Culture Club, Korean Culture Club and Red Devil Dramatics. Lit Mag, despite being the newest edition, is by far his favorite club.

Cassidy Ashman is a sophomore at RV, who is becoming more open to clubs and activities. She is currently on the tennis team, and wants to join ceramics club and perhaps ping pong club.

Mckenzie Baldwin is a junior at RV and she (unfortunately) only joined LitMag this year. She is also an active (and new) member of NFHS and POL. She tends to spend her day curled up or trying to find new photography possibilities. Her fictional writing tends to consist of toxic love or childhood trauma, as her poetry depends on what’s controlling her mind.

Shreya Darji is a junior at RV and has been a member of Lit Mag since her freshman year. She is the Arts and Culture Editor at The Holly Spirit and the business manager of the Red Oak Yearbook. Additionally, she is the president of the Asian Student Association and is involved in many other clubs, such as Model UN and the National Honors Society. When she isn’t reading or drawing, she is writing short stories or poetry.

Olivia Dragan is a Junior at RV and has been a part of Lit Mag since her freshman year. Outside of RV Olivia rows for Cooper Junior Rowing Club and is president of 4-H Active Citizenship Club. In her free time she loves to watercolor, knit and bake for her family and friends.

Katie Douglas is a sophomore at RV who has joined way too many clubs for her own good. She has joined the Literary Magazine (I manage the website now, haha, I have the power), the DnD club, the Holly Spirit, the Debate Club and the Autism Awareness Club. He writes music and fiction, and wants to publish books when he grows up. She has a love-hate relationship with poetry, in that she writes it, but doesn't really like reading it. In addition to publishing books, Katie wants to get a job in graphic design, because he needs to make money somehow.

Violet Fourre is a freshman at RV and just started the Lit Mag this year. She is as rainbow as Skittles and M&M’s, but is extremely shy when it comes to talking to people she likes. She likes singing, writing fanfic and poetry, and hanging out with her crazy friends. She has no siblings, but she has had a world of her own ever since she was 4 years old. She is also a huge theater kid. She will never throw away her shot (most of the time).

Jeska “Azurite” Johnson is a sophomore at RV. She is a member of LitMag, RVTV, Red Devil Singers, and is considering joining the photography club. She is often found drawing & working on cosplays in her free time, but she also loves photography, writing stories & songs, performing, and gacha games. Her art & writing tends to carry a theme of freedom – achieving it, losing it, and so forth – paired with recurring flower motifs. Azurite is also a huge fan of the game Limbus Company, especially the character Ishmael. Lastly, she is a mother of twelve cats. Her (lovely) daughter, Aster, says “hi” :> .

Belqis Karimi is a freshman at R.V, she is a member of Lit Mag, Poetry Out Loud, and Model U.N. Belqis loves reading, when she's not reading she is probably writing. She won first place in the Medford Arts Poetry Writing Contest. She plans on publishing a poetry book sometime during her high school career. Her favorite poet is Ocean Vuong. She loves music as well, her artists are Lana Del Ray, Mistki, TV-girl and The Neighborhood. She is learning the guitar and can play a little bit of cello. She wants to learn how to cook, but she should not be trusted near an oven alone. She is very excited to see how far she will go during highschool.

Jace Marks is a freshman at RV and he is very humorous and courageous. People believe that he is smart, talented, and a great leader. Jace is a part of the RV football team, Red Devils, as an Offensive/Defensive Lineman and is starting JV as a freshman. He loves to sing, perform, make people proud, and lighten anyone’s day that he can. Jace extremely loves Mario, Shrek, Family Guy, and FOOD! Above all, Jace Marks loves being himself and is happy with the man he is turning out to be.

Jazlene McCloskey, a sophomore at Rancocas Valley Regional High School, is an enthusiastic writer and active participant in school activities. Her emotions often run deep, sometimes overwhelmingly so, but this intensity fuels her creativity and strengthens her writing. Beyond academics, Jazlene cheers for the South Hampton Sharks and adores cats, joking she could happily adopt twenty of them. She channels challenges in her relationships into heartfelt poetry, using words as a way to understand and heal. After high school, Jazlene dreams of publishing a poetry book to inspire and support young girls navigating similar struggles. She also plans to pursue acting throughout her remaining two years at RV, expanding her creative expression beyond the page.

Kayla McMillan is sophomore at RV who is actively trying to get involved in all kinds of clubs. She is currently on the tennis team, astronomy club, and is on chess club and litmag. She enjoys doing art and writing in her free time. Often called “Comical, dedicated and fashionable" by those who know her.

Ryan Pennington is a sophomore at RV. He's the DM for the RPG club of the school and this is his second year in Litmag. He enjoys animation, horror, theater, writing, baking and cooking, and he absolutely adores adding either cults or cannibalism into his writing. If you ask him a random question, there's a 50/50 chance you’ll get a blank stare or an actual answer from him.

Bella Pohlke is a freshman at RV and has no free time :D She is a member of litmag and Circle of Women, on her studio’s performance team, and loves all things performing arts and art related. If you can’t find her, chances are she’s at dance because she practically lives there at this point :D

She is an officer in RV Helping Animals and actively is involved in Key Club, The Holly Spirit and Poetry Out Loud while also being on the girls tennis team in the fall! In her spare time Catherine likes to write, bake, play tennis, and spend time with her friends.

She is active in the Concert and Chamber Choir, alongside being the Spirit and Social Media Captain of the Rancocas Valley Cheer Team.
