Inklings Literary Magazine highlights and celebrates the free artistic expression of students at Rancocas Valley Regional High School in print and online. Any student who loves to read, write, or has the desire to share their work with a supportive community of likeminded students is welcome to join.

Inklings is published once a year. All written and artistic work is created by and selected by RVRHS students.
Our submissions period is typically open for 3 months, beginnning in February/March; the magazine is published in late May/early June.
Inklings Editors review and discuss each submission. Editors are empowered to accept and reject work. Submissions are read blind (names of authors are not revealed).
On occasion, issues are themed. In most cases, Editors select work based on their preferences and group discussions.
Inklings publishes 200 copies per year. The issue is free.

Ari is a freshman at RV and is a staff member of the Lit Mag. Ariana likes to sleep even though she doesn’t get any. She loves to draw and write out anything that comes out of her head, even though it doesn’t always come out the way she wants it. But that’s okay, she knows it.

Blain is a Junior at RV, although this is the first year they are officially in Lit Mag they have been a part of the commercials since their freshman year. Blain loves to write poetry in their spare time, along with sewing and reading.

Shreya is a junior at RV and has been in Lit Mag since her freshman year. She is the editor of the Arts and Culture Section of the Holly Spirit, along with being the Business Manager for the Red Oak Yearbook. When she is not writing poetry or short stories, she is watching a rom-com or reading off her endless TBR list.

Katie Douglas is a freshman at RV who has joined way too many clubs for her own good. She has joined the Literary Magazine, the Sign Language Club, the DnD club, and is trying to join the Holly Spirit, the Debate Club and the Autism Awareness Club. He writes music and fiction, and wants to publish books when he grows up. She has a love-hate relationship with poetry, in that she writes it, but doesn't really like reading it. In addition to publishing books, Katie wants to get a job in graphic design, because he needs to make money somehow.

Paris Ford is a rising senior at RV and has been a staff member of Lit Mag since their Freshman year. Paris also has a leadership position on the Girls Varsity Wrestling team and loves to sing. She loves reading books and fantasizing a new ending or creating a new one herself. If Paris isn’t on stage bursting into song, then she can be found eating or sleeping.

Belqis Karimi is a freshman at R.V, she is a member of Lit Mag, Poetry Out Loud, and Model U.N. Belqis loves reading, when she's not reading she is probably writing. She won first place in the Medford Arts Poetry Writing Contest. She plans on publishing a poetry book sometime during her high school career. Her favorite poet is Ocean Vuong. She loves music as well, her artists are Lana Del Ray, Mistki, TV-girl and The Neighborhood. She is learning the guitar and can play a little bit of cello. She wants to learn how to cook, but she should not be trusted near an oven alone. She is very excited to see how far she will go during highschool.

Zhihan Lin is a rising Senior at RV and officially in their second year with RV’s Literary Magazine! Yippie! They’re excited about taking a more active role in the club and writing whimsy poems of their own. When they are not writing, Zhihan is studying for Algebra II, because it turns out logarithms are not actually about logs.

Howl O’Donnell is a Junior at RV. They love poetry and graphic novels. They are part of the DND club, GSA, Lit Mag and ROTC. They like to show how they are feeling or what they have experienced through poetry and will sometimes spend hours just writing or reading. When they graduate, Howl would like to go into education and become an English teacher, they would also like to study tech theater and pursue that as a passion as well.

Ryan is a freshman at RVHS. This is both his first year at the school and in the club, obviously. All the things he writes about are mostly things he is interested in. Whether it be horror, shows, books, games or music. It always has some tie to an interest he has. Almost every grade he had gotten an A on his creative writing assignments. He enjoys writing, reading and baking.

Hey this Em, she is a junior at RV. She likes reading, writing and doing theater. She is a costumer for Red Devil Dramatics and a Golden Star Actor for Lit Mag’s commercials. If she is not in her costumer world then she is hanging out with friends. Anyways thanks for reading <3

Morgan Silverberg, a junior at RV, recently started working for Lit Mag as an employee. English has always been Morgan's favorite subject, and this semester she received acceptance into the National English Honors Society. When she's not struggling to determine what the 3000 symbols in Hamlet represent, Morgan likes to making herself iced coffees and going to the aquarium.

Jewel Soo is a sophomore at RV and has been participating in writing contests and Inklings magazine since her freshman year. With her main clubs being RVTV and Mock Trial she likes to write fiction in her free time, diving into emotions and concepts. She placed 1st place in her freshman year and 3rd place in her sophomore year in the Winter Writing Contest. She aspires to write more and more!

Destiny Williams is a sophomore at RV with a love for cooking and writing. She is a member of the baking club, creating delicious treats for her classmates. Destiny is also a dedicated member of the school's art club, striving to make something inspirational. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and writing poems. Destiny’s goal is to major in culinary arts and minor in writing in college.
