Students are only permitted to sit at the lab tables during a lab activity. There will be no exceptions. Students who repeatedly sit somewhere other than their assigned seat without permission will be subject to disciplinary consequences.
Students may be permitted to charge their MacBooks in designated charging area. This should not be a daily practice and will be provided on a first come, first serve basis.
Students are NOT permitted to leave the classroom before the bell. Students MUST have a pass from a teacher or coach to leave early, when necessary. Students are also NOT permitted to line up at the door. There will be no exceptions.
Students must use the lanyard pass to leave the room. Do not disrupt the class by asking to leave at an inappropriate time. Do not ask to leave at the first 5 minutes or last 5 minutes of class. Only one student can leave at a time. Bathroom breaks should be no longer than 5 minutes - a cut slip will be sent to discipline if frequently abusing this privelege.
Students are NOT permitted to utilize their cell phone in class. Phones will be taken without warning.
Students are NOT permitted to utilize their Air Pods/headphones, unless authorized by a teacher during independent work. Students cannot leave the room or enter the room wearing Air Pods/headphones. Air Pods will be taken without warning.
Students are NOT permitted to utilize YouTube at any time, unless permitted for use by the teacher for a specific lesson or assignment. ~ This is a rare occurrence.
Students will be assigned time to create a playlist on Spotify, Google Musics, or Pandora. A music video playlist will not be permitted. Students will be able to use their playlist during independent work only.
Students who are game-playing or using their MacBook in class for purposes other than related to the subject area, after 3 repeated warnings are subject to disciplinary consequences in accordance with Policy #2361.
*Disciplinary consequences will occur for any student not following these classroom rules. Warnings will NOT be provided to an individual student not following these rules in order to avoid disruption to classroom instruction.
