The mission of the Rockville Centre Schools Arts Programs is to provide a comprehensive study through creating, performing, and responding to art in all its forms — visual, musical, theatrical, and beyond. This program aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills to make the arts an integral part of their daily lives.
Our goal is to inspire every student to become a creative and innovative thinker, fostering artistic development, critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and lifelong learning — from a kindergartner's first encounter with general music and classroom art, through the advanced study, research, and performance opportunities available to our high school seniors.
The Department of the Arts encompasses five vibrant curricular areas that grow with every student, from kindergarten exploration through IB-level mastery:
MUSIC • VISUAL ART • FAMILY & CONSUMER SCIENCE (FACS) • THEATER • DANCE
