Instrument Care

Items you need! You may click on each item to order them.

1. Valve Oil

2. Slide Grease

3. Care kit (including mouthpiece brush and snake) -this includes valve oil and slide grease, but once you buy the kit, you will eventually need to replace the valve oil and slide grease separately before anything else in the kit.

4. Tuner/ Metronome -there are many phone apps that do the trick just as well! I use "tonal energy" http://tonalenergy.com/products/te-tuner/

UPGRADES

*As with any purchase, it is always best to consult Mr. Hunt and Mr. Dalton before buying anything. We hope this can serve as a guide to help you with common upgrades/purchases.

1. Step-Up Trumpets...Bach Stradivarius is the most sought after trumpet. You can't go wrong with these! They are the most played professional trumpet in the world!

2. Mouthpieces...I prefer Bach mouthpieces, but that isn't to say it is the best for everyone. AVOID shallow mouthpieces. These may increase high registers, but they negatively effect the tone. Most students will play comfortably on a size 3C or 5C. NEVER BUY A MOUTHPIECE WITHOUT CONSULTING MR. HUNT 1ST! I can help you find what is best for you.
