Small Group

K.R.U.S.H. LLC (Kids Rising Up through Support and Healing) 

This group is for students whose immediate family members are currently in jail. This group meets weekly throughout the school year and is in all the schools in the Russell Independent School District. It was developed by Kristi Whittaker and myself. We train other teachers across the United States to also have a group like this! Small groups have been determined based on parent/teacher surveys and/or guardian requests. Small groups last 4-6 weeks (depending on the need). If your child is placed in a small group, you are contacted with consent. Small groups are a great way for students to connect with one another and grow socially/emotionally, academically, and in goal setting. 

​In a small group , we will work on building self-esteem, body image, friendships, and whatever area is needed.
