About Dennis Fujan

Early Life

Dennis Fujan grew up in rural Malmo, a small community in Saunders County, Nebraska. Raised in a farming family, Dennis was instilled with the values of hard work, dedication, and service to his community from an early age. After graduating from Prague High School, he chose to serve his country and enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he trained and worked as a jet mechanic​.


Career

Upon completing his service in the Navy, Dennis returned to Nebraska to take over the family farm. Today, he operates a fourth-generation family farm in Prague, Nebraska, cultivating 400 acres of soybeans and producing corn and hay. His love for agriculture extended beyond his own land, leading him to join the Nebraska Soybean Association in 1997. He served as the state association’s vice president in 2015/16 and president in 2016/17, contributing his expertise to local agricultural initiatives.


In addition to his work in farming, Dennis has also been a dedicated public servant. He has served as the president of the Saunders County Soybean Association and has been a member of the county Farm Bureau board of directors and the Nebraska Rural Radio Association board of directors. In recognition of his contributions, he was elected to the American Soybean Association Board of Directors in December 2017.

Personal Life

Dennis is a proud husband, father, and grandfather. He and his wife, Pat, have raised two beautiful daughters and have been blessed with four grandchildren. When he's not working on the farm or serving his community, Dennis enjoys cheering on the Nebraska Cornhuskers football team and playing golf.

Military Service

Dennis's commitment to serving his community and country is also reflected in his military service. After his time in the Navy, he continued to support his fellow veterans as a past post commander of the American Legion.
