Each week you will observe the world around you, looking for stories that can be captured in a single still image. You will be assigned a topicto “find” and photograph. This will
called the Photo-A-Week (PAW). Each week you will post and blog about your image. Your images should that tell a story. This story must be obvious to anyone seeing the image. You will also be required to comment on the photos of the other members of the class.
Students can use digital cameras or camera phones.
After I post the topic, you will find the image you feel best completes the assignment. You will post the photo on the google document on our google classroom page and complete the prompt.
Journal Prompts for each Photo of the Week:
● Write a reflection REALLY describing your thought process behind taking the photos and why you shot what you shot. Be descriptive. (2-3 sentences)
● Also describe the difficulties and successes that you had while coming up with the idea and shooting it. (2-3 sentences)
● The third thing you must do is log onto google classroom, and appropriately comment/critique the photos of your classmates. Tell them what you liked, what you learned or what they captured that you found inspirational.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS: To successfully complete this course, students must be able to:
• Read materials relating to each topic to be considered
• View recorded lectures
• Complete photographic assignments
• Post completed assignments to google classroom
• Engage in evaluation of photographic assignments with instructors and classmates
