Each May, Better Hearing & Speech Month (BHSM) provides an opportunity to raise awareness about communication disorders and the role of ASHA members in providing life-altering treatment.
For 2020, our theme is "Communication at Work."

My name is Andrea Downing. I have worked as the speech-language pathologist for over 20 years and have at Rum River since 2007 and love working with students at Rum River South, North, and East. In addition to individual and small group services in all the Rum River education programs, I teach classes in the Communication and North wings at RRS and provide consultation to our staff to support all students in each of our education programs. In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing piano, gardening, and cross-country skiing.
