According to the Act Ramkhamhaeng University, 1998, Section 20. The Faculty Senate's duties are to provide advice and recommendations on university affairs to the President and the University Council. and perform other duties as assigned by the President or the University Council.

According to the Ramkhamhaeng University Regulations on the Faculty Senate, 2014, Section 1, Section 6, the Faculty Senate has the following jurisdictions and duties:

(1) Carry out this regulation.

(2) Provide advice and recommendations on university affairs to the president and the University Council. In the following matters

     (a) University education policy and plan

     (b) policies and plans regarding research Academic services to society and the preservation of arts and culture

     (c) University development policy and plan

     (d) Ethical standards and legitimate rights of faculty members

     (e) Appointment of persons to hold university administrative positions.

     (f) Policy regarding administration and student activities.

     (g) Any other matters that the university deems appropriate to consult.

(3) Promote both academic and social relationships between faculty members in the college and faculty members of other higher education institutions.

(4) Set criteria or guidelines regarding the operations of the Faculty Council.

(5) Serve as a committee member or attend committee meetings at various levels of the university. Upon approval from the university

(6) Perform duties as deemed appropriate by the Faculty Senate for the benefit of the university as a whole

(7) Perform other duties as assigned by the President or the University Council.
