Circle Time Recap – “What Did We Learn?”
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQrlgH97v94
What’s your favourite planet and why?
What do astronauts do in space?
How do rockets travel?
Space Art (Expressive Arts & Design)
Children will use drawing to represent their understanding of space, choosing to illustrate a favourite planet, an astronaut, or a rocket. This activity supports creativity, fine motor development, and expressive language as children are encouraged to share and talk about their artwork with others.
This week we will focus on "Taking Away".
Can you find 10 soft toys around the classroom? Line them up on the floor and count them again to make sure you have 10.
Follow along with this story......there once were ten soft toys at a picnic in the woods. They had a wonderful time, but 4 of them felt tired and went home. (can you count out four toys and take them away). How many toys were left at the picnic? (Now count the soft toys left, which will give you your answer).
We are now going to take away Superheroes, to link into our theme.
You can print the worksheet here:
You will need to count the superheroes and then cross out the number that you are "taking away). How many superheroes are left?
We know that sentences start with a capital letter.
Most sentences end with a full stop (also called a period),
but some don’t.
Learn when to use a question mark (?)
and when to use an exclamation mark (!).
Choose a book from your classroom or home library.
Can you find any question marks or exclamation marks?
Ask a grown-up to help you read the sentences
using the correct intonation.
Now that we can read and write sentences,
let's play a game.
Read the words. Cut them out. Line them up to make a sentence.
At the end, write your sentence.
Changing me
Let's sing Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes. We can name parts of our bodies but what is on the inside?
What does that body part do? Let’s watch this short informative video about what’s inside his body
Tapestry focus - this week we will focus on Child- led activities in class and outside. What are the children's interests? How are they developing skills?
