Art Week and Creative Chameleon Week
Touchline Presentation to parents 25th April.
To Infinity & Beyond
Over this topic we will be learning all about two of our favourite things...space and superheroes!
Let’s find out about our new topic:
We’re off to space!
Let’s all pretend we’re blasting off
in a rocket into space.
What do we need to do first?
I know a song about going to space. Do you?
Shall we sing it? Don’t forget to count down from 10!
Spaceship Design
Can you design a spaceship for our space adventure topic?
You can also colour and label this rocket.
This week we will be exploring 3D shapes.
Using the poster above, can you find any 3D shapes in the classroom?
Maybe a tissue box or a toy box, what about a dice from a game or a ball?
3D shapes are everywhere, see how many you can spot in your room.
Could you find them all?
If you could use any of the shapes in the poster to build a tower, what would you use?
Explain to your teacher why you would make those choices.
Can you use building blocks or Lego and even boxes to build a your own 3D shape tower.
Good Luck!
Let's have a look at our new topic story
Can you remember what happened in the story?
What happened first? What next?
What happened at the end?
Retell the story and act it out with some toys.
Put these pictures in the correct order.
Write some captions to match the picture.
REVISION WEEK
Riding a bike, using chopsticks and speaking in another language are all examples of something that is tricky to do. Let’s pass Jenie the cat around the circle of friends and one by one we can share with our friends something really tricky to do that we worked hard at until we succeeded.
In this story, the tortoise had to persevere and work hard and all its hard work paid off!
Tapestry focus - this week we will focus on settling back into school and pictures of your children completing some activities this week.
