In The Past...
This week we will be introducing our new topic and trying to find out what the children know, and what they want to learn.
Core text: Dinosaur Roar

A discovery has been made at school during half term. A large nest with large brightly coloured eggs has been found! Have a think about what kind of animal could have laid these eggs?
Can you draw a picture of what you think the eggs look like?
Can you try and label your picture? For example- big, red, dots.
Can you write a sentence about who you think left the nest here?
We will read The Blue Balloon - Where will it take you?
We will learn some new vocabulary including:
- Longer and shorter
- Taller and shorter
- Wider and narrower
If we found some dinosaur eggs how would we know which one was bigger? longer?
We will play some games measuring playdough. Is it long or short?
