December 4th is Fathers' Day in school. Dads or a different adult are welcome to join in the morning activity.
Please remember that there is no school on 5th December to celebrate the King's birthday.
Where Does It Come From?
Have you ever been shopping with your family? Which shop did you go to? How did you get there? Did you make a shopping list? What did you buy? How did you help? Did you handle the money? Can you send a photograph into school of you shopping with your family?
Here is our Let's Go Shopping song.
Christmas
Now that we have concluded our 'Let's Go Shopping' topic, the children are fully immersed in the Christmas mood!
We are excited to explore how Christmas is celebrated in different countries.
Watch VDO

Talking time
"Can you name some countries mentioned in the video?"
"Did you notice any different ways people celebrate Christmas?"
What acts of kindness are you going to do this Christmas? Learn to be a kind and helpful elf for Santa this year.
Try to do one act of kindness everyday.
Monday - smile more
Tuesday - hold the door open for your friends and teachers
Wednesday - say something nice to make someone smile

Friday - draw or make something for someone else
Saturday - help clean at home
Sunday - help cook at home
We will sing the Where's The Monkey? song.
What words do we already know to describe positional language?
We will play a game with some cubes. Can you build a tower that looks exactly like mine without looking? How will you know which colour comes next? Can you use positional language to describe where each colour goes?
We will take it in turns to hide our class mascot. Can our partner find it by listening to clues?
It's inside the box.
It's under the table.
It's next to the doll's house.
Here is another song.
It’s almost Christmas!
Talk about Christmas.
At Christmas, we usually get some presents, but we need to write a letter to Santa first.
Listen to this story about writing a letter to Santa.
Try your best to sound out the words or listen to an adult help to sound it out. You could also write initial sounds and draw some pictures.
This week, we are learning the sounds
/ch/ /sh/ /th/ /ng/
