Where Does It Come From?
Have you ever been shopping with your family? Which shop did you go to? How did you get there? Did you make a shopping list? What did you buy? How did you help? Did you handle the money? Can you send a photograph into school of you shopping with your family?
Here is our Let's Go Shopping song.
To follow on our topic

Talking Time:
Can you remember the four life cycles of a chicken?
What comes first? Egg or Chicken?
What are the baby chickens called?
Can you complete the worksheet on the chicken life cycle?
Take a trip to the Eco Garden together, meet the chickens, and help collect their eggs in the basket.
Can you count how many eggs you got? Sing Guess the egg
We will read Three Little Firefighters by Stuart J Murphy.
What do you see on each page? Can you see the different shapes? What is a circle? What is a triangle?
We will play a game to sort the shapes and to find out what each shape looks like.
Join in and sing about shapes.
We will look at some pictures. Which shapes can you see?
The children will make some of their own shape pictures by painting with stampers and using cut out shapes.
Retell our topic story using the story map you made last week.
You could try to add some actions
as you retell the story to help.
Use one or two small post-it notes
to make some changes to the story
to make your own.
Listen to the story
