This week is a very special week, we will be celebrating World Book Day...all week!
Let’s dance along to these fun reading songs!
This week we are reading books that have all been drawn and written by Laura Wall. Today’s book is:
Activity 1: Did you enjoy today’s story? In the story we saw Goose and Sophie drawing in the sand...shall we make some marks in the sand? What could we use to make marks; brushes, sticks, hands? Hunt around the classroom to see what interesting things we could use to make marks!
Activity 2: In our story Goose and Sophie ate something very yummy and cold...ice creams! Shall we make our own ice lollies! Can you help by using a safety knife to chop up a ring of tinned pineapple? Now carefully use the tongs to put the pineapple chunks into your ice lolly and then add the water and syrup.

This week we are reading books that have all been drawn and written by Laura Wall. Today’s book is:
Activity 1:What animals did we see in our story, let's revisit and see. What animals can you name? What sounds can we hear? What animal says ‘HONK’? A goose! Today we are going to make our very own ‘Goose’ pictures using real feathers!
Activity 2: Do you remember what we put in the freezer yesterday...our ice lollies! Let’s go and investigate to see if they are ready to eat!
It's Goose's birthday today!
What do we do to celebrate birthdays? Shall we sing the Happy Birthday song together?
Sometimes we have a party to celebrate our birthday and play games together, let's play some games of our own.
Goose enjoys celebrating birthdays too, let's share our next book together:
Let's throw a party for our friend Goose.
Can you bake some play dough cupcakes?

This week we will focus on exploring and responding to different natural phenomena (farm animals) on our trip to Ruby's Garden Farm.
Sophie and Goose are going on another adventure, I wonder where they might go? Let's play this game to see if it can give us a clue:
A cow, a pig, a horse, a duck, a sheep and a chicken...where might we find these animals..that's right on a farm. Sophie and Goose are off to the farm today.
Let's read the story together!
Do we know any songs about farm animals?
Look who came to visit us!
Welcome to our special friends to RST Ruby Garden. I wonder if we can name the different visitors, I wonder if we are brave enough to stroke or feed the special guests? Let's use our listening ears and listen to the different sounds each animal makes, can you make the same sounds?
