On our felt board we have 5 Candy Canes! Let’s sing the Candy Cane song again and use the board to help us count each time. 

I’ve got something special hiding under a blanket on my tray. I wonder what it is? How does it feel? COLD!

If you look carefully you can see something special.

That's right! Snowflakes!

At Christmas time it can feel very cold. Let’s watch some snow falling - brrr

How beautiful were those snowflakes in the song! I wonder how snowflakes are formed? Let's have a look at this video and see what happens.

Today we are going to make a snowflake art work to go in our WOW books, we will use sponges to paint them.

Today we are going to make a sparkly winter-coloured snowflake. Let’s look closely at the paper, what colour is it...white! But if we look closely can you see the snowflake? Now we will use sponges to paint our white paper to make it a different colour! Once the paint is dry we can peel away the snowflake-how beautiful!

Soon we will have a holiday but why are we having a holiday? 

That’s right, it will soon be Christmas!

Look, what do we have here? A big Santa sleigh! Who would like to come and pretend to be an elf jumping on Santa’s sleigh? We need 5 elves!

Now that we have 5 elves let’s sing our 5 Little Elves song. Each time one elf runs away one of you children elves need to jump off the sleigh and back to your space.

Christmas Party Day!

Let’s take a look at our clothes today…what is different? We are wearing Christmas clothes!

 Today we will have a picnic party morning snack and play some fun games together.

Also, someone very special will come to visit us...shhhh...it's a surprise :)
