Christmas
We will learn all about the fun festival of Christmas.
Look what Miss Sophie and Miss Maxine found in our classroom today...a Christmas present!
I wonder what’s inside? Let’s play a Christmas pass the parcel game to find out!
We found a...
-Square present
-Circle bauble
-A shiny star
-A triangle tree
We are going to make Christmas cards for our family. What shape would you like to choose? A star, square, circle or triangle? We will turn our squares into presents, our stars into twinkling stars, our triangles into trees and our circles into baubles!
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…..
Have you seen what’s new in our classroom? It’s a tree!
What special festival is celebrated with a tree like this?
Christmas
I wonder what we can find today. Somebody left us a present, shall we open it and find out what is inside? Wow, we have some tree decorations! Let's hang them onto our tree. Can we name the tree decorations shapes; star, circle, triangle and square.
Now we can play this fun shape-sorting game:
Let's sing a Christmas Tree Song

Activity 2: We will use our fine motor skills to practise hanging tree decorations onto our Christmas tree.
