Now, let’s play a game! Oh dear, the feelings are all mixed up! Can you help me sort the faces and match them to the right feelings?

Lets start our morning with some feelings songs. 

Let’s play a game, can you show me a happy face, a sad face, What about an angry face?

 Can you guess how these people are feeling in this game? As you are playing the game stop at some of the feelings to discuss times we have felt this way.  

Join children in their play to emphasise language of feelings: the baby is hungry, the teddy bears are scared of the loud noises.

Next it is Story time!

We’re going to read an amazing book all about feelings called ‘The Colour Monster’.

Now, it’s time for a fun circle game!

We’ll pass around some Colour Monsters. Which feeling is this one? Can you make a happy, angry, or sad face—and then pass it to your friend so they can have a turn too?

Yesterday, we made our very own Colour Monster!
