Off we go!
This term we will we going on lots of adventures. We will learn about transportation, places and animals.
Let's have lots of fun together!
Today we are going to sing some Christmas songs. I wonder if we can learn some Makaton to go with our songs.
Which song was your favourite?
We will practise our Makaton signing in small groups to help remember the songs. We can also use instruments to play along with our Christmas songs.
Have you ever seen snow before?
In Thailand, it’s always summer, so there’s no snow here. What do you think snow feels like? Does it feel cold like ice or warm like tea?
That's right—snow is cold! Now, let's sing along to this beautiful snowflake song and dance together!
Today, we’re going to create a Mosaic Snowflake using three different shades of blue. We will carefully peel the paper into small pieces and stick them onto the snowflake picture to make it colorful and textured.
Today we are going to learn about something special that we see at Christmas, let’s sing this song to give you a clue!
That’s right, we are learning all about Christmas trees!
Let’s learn about all the things we can find on a Christmas tree.
Shall we decorate a tree of our own on the board?
Now for today's activity, we are going to make a Christmas tree picture by ordering the pieces by their size, so let’s practice our size-ordering skills with this fun activity!
Today we are going to make a Christmas tree of our own! First, can you find the biggest strip of green paper? How about the next biggest? Glue them into the correct order to create a beautiful Christmas tree. I wonder what shape you can put on the top…a star!
Morning Meet
Guess Who We Are Learning About Today!
I have a few clues for you:
1 - He wears a red hat.
2 - He has a white beard.
3 - He wears a red coat with white fur.
4 - He has a big, big belly.
5 - He comes at Christmas time.
Who is it?
That’s right, well done—it’s SANTA!
Let’s learn a song about Santa
Santa Claus, with help from his Elves, is making lots of presents in his workshop in the North Pole for all the children all over the world. Let’s read a book about Santa Claus
Santa loves to give presents to the children. However, Santa is always watching, to see who is making good choices. Who has been making good choices this year? What do you want for Christmas? Let’s listen to this song
What do you want for Christmas? Let’s turn on our listening ears, and one at a time, we’ll listen to what each of our friends wants from Santa Claus this Christmas.
Activity
We are going to make Santa Masks.
First, we need to stick cotton wool onto the card to make Santa's fluffy white beard. Let’s also use a cotton wool ball to use as a pompom for Santa’s hat. What colour is Santa’s hat?
When we have finished decorating the mask we can pretend we are Santa Clause. What noise does Santa make:
“Ho, Ho, Ho, Merry Christmas Everyone”
Today is the last day of term 1 and our Christmas party day! You all look lovely in your Christmas clothes! Shall we play some party games?
This week we will be sharing some photos of our class Christmas party on Friday!
