When we produce knowledge, we are joining a conversation. This conference is an opportunity to showcase the contribution that you are making and the ways in which your work builds on or challenges the conversations taking place in your field.
Knowledge is built piece by piece as every postgraduate scholar adds their piece to the conversation in the field. How does your research contribute towards or challenge the conversation?
Did you know? 42% of all South Africa’s researchers are postgraduate scholars (HSRC/PST 2019).
The work we do has important implications for:
· economic growth and job creation
· environmental sustainability, and
· social justice
What are people talking about in your field?
What methods do they use to make knowledge?
Tell us about how you are joining the conversation through your research. Present your work at the annual Postgraduate Research Conference.
Submit your abstract now to share your research with others.
All research is a conversation.
What conversation are you having through your research? Are you adding to what has been said before? Are you challenging it?
Tell us about it!
Postgraduates who are just starting out on their research are welcome to submit an abstract in which they share the conversation about why their planned research is needed or what the literature has to say about their topic. Those who are further along, we'd love to hear about the methods you selected or about the findings that are emerging.
The conference is open to all PG scholars, postdoctoral fellows and RU staff members.
