This summer school serves as an exploratory and co-engaged online platform to delve into the critical topic of digitalisation in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and its impact on teaching and learning practices. In today’s rapidly evolving digital world, it is imperative to equip our students with robust digital literacy skills and the tools necessary to navigate, contribute to, and thrive in dynamic environments.

Key themes include the importance of understanding data security, cybersecurity, and the integration of digital tools into educational frameworks. The program fosters meaningful discussions around these essential topics, emphasising the role of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in shaping digital transformation processes. Participants will explore effective digital learning tools and identify practical strategies to enhance teaching practices. 

Additionally, the summer school will provide a space to assess the realities within our institutions—examining what is currently possible, determining the tools and resources required, and addressing any gaps in digital capabilities. By collaborating and sharing insights, we aim to advance the integration of digitalisation in education while fostering sustainability and innovation.
