Read four different conclusions from I to IV given below and justify which of them are acceptable or not.

I. One can see from these few examples the extent of Native American influence on the American language, art forms, eating habits and government. The American people are deeply indebted to Native Americans for their contributions to US culture.

Answer: Not acceptable

Reason: There is no concluding phrase and restatement of the thesis statement.

 II. To conclude, youth problems are leading to negative impacts on the social and economic growth of the country. These emerging problems of youth in the country can be controlled and minimised through guidance and advice, value-based education and improved recreational facilities. The government should facilitate and plan social and economic frameworks that support youth and provide skills through training for entrepreneurship.

Answer: Acceptable

Reason: There is all most all the features of academic essay conclusion such as concluding phrase, restatement of the thesis statement, recommendation from writer and there is no idea born. It also looks like 10 % of whole essay.

III. In conclusion, it is very difficult to say that there is one type of food in a great country like Britain. Every part of the country has its own special dishes based on produce and the tastes of that region. From the ancient Britons and the Romans, Saxon and Viking invasions to present-day immigrants, the cuisine of the UK continues to change with its changing population.

Answer: Not acceptable

Reason: There is no proper phrase, restatement of the thesis statement and most of the conclusion features are not present.

IV. There are many ways of creating energy apart from oil. However, each alternative has both advantages and disadvantages and, therefore, it is difficult for any single alternative to replace oil completely. Renewable are the best alternative, but as yet, they are meeting less than 20% of the world's energy demands (REN21, 2008). This is a difficult situation and the world faces a serious energy crisis in the 21st century. However, if all the countries of the world join hands to solve the problem, a solution will be found.

Answer: Not acceptable

Reason: It looks like more of body paragraph with citation and arguments.
