My biggest improvement that shows in my work is the technique and the detail in the photos that I have taken this year. How I achieved this was I took my time when I was taking my pictures and made sure the camera was focused on what I wanted it to be. I never thought that I could take such good photos because I never really believed in myself but after taking this class, I realized that I actually can take really good photos if I take the time to. I also realized how much I improved during this class when I took pictures because before many of my pictures really never had much detail in them I just took the picture and never took the time to take a good picture. The last that I improved on was my technique in the class, I learned new techniques when was editing my photos and different ways to edit them.

My biggest challenge was trying to push myself to become a better photographer. It was hard for me to push myself to be better at photography because I was scared to step out of my comfort zone. For example, when were assigned to take reflective self-portraits because I hate taking pictures of myself because I have always been very self-conscious with my body because I am so skinny for my age. So it was challenging for me to take a picture of myself because I didn’t want to show how skinny I was. I think that was my biggest challenge because I didn’t want to show how small I was but I stepped outside my comfort zone I took the pictures and they actually came really good and I was really proud of myself for taking the pictures.

I am most proud of how much detail was in my photos. Why I am so proud of that is because I took a lot of time trying to put lots of detail in the photos. I have many photos that have lots of detail in them and it's hard to pick out what one is my favorite because I like them all. But if I had to pick one that would be my most favorite it would have to be conflict because all of the photos have lots of detail. For example, like in the photo of the bottom of the hull where my dad hit the league and made all the wood peel out and hang down. It shows the detail in the grain of the wood on the side of the boat and I am really proud of how clear it came out. I thought it wasn’t going to come out the clear but it did so I am really proud of that.

The ways that I think that illustrated my strengths and weakness is over time you can see how much I have grown as a student in my photo and how much I learned in photography to become a better photographer. An example of my weakness is in the second assignment were assigned to do and my camera wasn’t working and most of my photos came out very blurry. But I figured out how to make them work for the assignment. An example of my strengths is after I fixed my camera and all the photos that I took after that came out really good and showed lots of detail and each photo had their own story to tell. Each photo was very unique in its own way and that's what I like about them. An also learned to be more confident in what am doing for work and photo two taught me that.
