The layout of the school is basically two big squares on top of one another and a large wing with the gyms, theater, and cafeteria. The addition of the courtyard is very nice and it makes the school larger compared to the old Sumner where is seemed very claustrophobic and almost like a maze. I got to take a look out their and it is very well kept. But I almost never see anyone spending their free time there. Most of the furniture is good, I really like the new blue swivel chairs as they have nice suburb lumbar support. The new "collaboration" rooms are found across Sumner make the school create a professional environment. Each room has a floor to ceiling whiteboard, and people seem to be using it quite frequently. I also caught a glimpse of the cafeteria and I am really excited for its grand opening. Restaurant booths line the windows and numerous high chairs are on the right side of the cafeteria. But they still have the stereotypical lunch tables. I wish I had more knowledge but this is all I can present at the moment.

Don't get me wrong, the learning campus is great but there are some minor problems that may have been overlooked when designing the school. Most of these problems are minor and not going to be the end of the world, they are just cumbersome to deal with. Some of the classrooms are weirdly tucked away from the rest or in the weirdest locations in the building. Ms. Ouellette and Mr. Fudge's rooms are awkwardly tucked near the entrance of the high school corridors. Also some rooms are combined for 2 classes, JMG and Mrs.Wheaton's health class are found in the same classroom which can get sort of confusing for some people. Some of the substitutes don't show up, not because they are late, but because they are lost and on the other side of the building. Once again, none of these are relatively bad, they're more annoying than anything else. The square design was introduced to create more simplicity in finding your classes, but everything looks the same and I mix up the location of most of my classes.

7.5/10
The Charles M. Sumner Learning Campus is a much needed upgrade compared to the school's previously dire state. While it has its flaws, it will hold up for the next how many decades to come. My final review is flawed as I still have yet to see the second story, auditorium, or the industrial wing. But with what I had access to, I am pretty happy with the result. I believe a solid 7.5/10 stars is in order for the new Sumner.
