Current Updates
As of 1/1/22 the Henderson & O'Day INC. has begun the construction of the Charles M. Sumner Learning Center and has made great progress as the school has begun to take shape. In order to prepare for future gales and snow the construction team has "buttoned up" the school and is completely sealed in. The school has started to be built from the inside. Future tours are to be expected in the future but most likely not the next couple months. At the end of the year, there will be a final dance in the original gym for previous alumni of Sumner. Auctions for the gym floor and lockers may happen at the dance to have keepsakes of the original Sumner building before it closes. In fall of 2022, the original Sumner is scheduled to be demolished.
