Austin Muir (he/him) is our school counselor for Pre-K and Kindergarten.
Austin grew up in the great state of Michigan (Go Green!) and is happy to call Maine home since 2017. He loves to incorporate play, the outdoors, and believes in the power of positive relationships. He has a background in environmental education and youth mentorship. When he's not in school you can find him fishing, hunting, canoeing, making things, watching Netflix, or spending time with his young family.
Austin is a graduate of both Michigan State University (Bachelor of Arts in Social Relations and Policy) and the University of Southern Maine (Masters of Science in Counseling). Austin is a proud member of the Maine School Counseling Association (MESCA) and the American School Counseling Association (ASCA).
Anne Baltren (she/her) is our school counselor for 1st and 2nd grade. She has worked in education since 2009 and became a school counselor in 2013 after earning her Master’s in School Counseling from The George Washington University.
Anne is certified as an Anxiety and Stress Management Specialist through the American School Counselor Association, and as a Mindfulness, SEL, and Yoga Teacher (CYT-200) with Breathe for Change. Anne partners with students, families, and teachers to help children build resilience. She also collaborates on several school and district teams, and enjoys using data to guide her work and support student growth.
Outside of school, Anne loves reading novels, spending time at the beach, and hanging out with her dog. She’s always curious and enjoys learning new things.
