NHS is a service club, and our chapter's primary service project is acting as Teacher Assistants to mentor teachers. Students who choose not to act as a TA must participate in another project or projects of approximately the same time commitment and log their hours with the advisor.
Any misconduct will be brought to the advisor and principal, who will make the decision on whether dismissal is warranted. Charges can include but are not limited to failure to show academic integrity, bullying, and failure to fulfill the service requirement. If appropriate, colleges will be informed of this decision.
Most meetings will occur during advisory with the agenda of supporting the TA program. Any absence needs to be communicated to the advisor ahead of time.
