Adventure
Students and staff paddling along the Maine Island Trail.
"One of the therapeutic components of adventure is the way it connects us to the present moment and therein resides our power to simply be who we are in that moment. When we are in the moment, we are focused on the here and now which creates an opportunity to experience our true-selves and express our identity with a multitude of possibilities for change & growth. I find this exhilarating."
Rod Nadeau, Ph.D.
Backpacking
Our students learn the principals of 'Leave No Trace' and how to navigate backcountry travel.
Ice & Rock Climbing
In warmer months we take small groups out to local rock sites, in the winter we do indoor climbing and even ice climbing!
Local summits
Sometimes its fun to reach the summit. We have a list of both local peaks and more challenging summits in the White mountains that we have climbed.
Skiing & Riding
We partner with Pleasant Mountain to deliver instruction and help foster confidence in our students.
Sea Kayaking
Kayak trips include the Maine Island Trail islands as well as the Presumpscott river and more.
Biking
We ride year round at local trail systems. We teach and encourage trail stewardship and safe riding techniques.
