Dear 6th grade Band & Chorus parents,
Greetings from Oceanside Middle School music department! The 6th grade Band and Chorus have been busy preparing for our upcoming annual Fine Arts Night. We are looking forward to this event!
• The 6th Grade Fine Arts Night will be held on Tuesday, May 27th. The concert art show opens at 5:30 pm and the concert begins at 6:00pm in the OMS gym. However, during the art show, there will be some solo and small group performances.Â
• The concert is a culminating project for these groups; all students are expected to attend this concert as part of their grade for band/chorus. Each performing group will be performing a variety of songs, the concert should be an hour long.Â
• We are asking students to listen to each other's concert performance; students will be seated in a designated area of the bleachers before/after performing. No student should leave the concert until all groups have performed.
• Required Concert Dress: all students should be dressed in black from head to toe but may accessorize with something spring-like.
• Students should arrive by 5:30 pm the night of the concert and report to their band and/or chorus rooms. For the students that are performing in the solo/small ensemble section of the art show, please arrive by 5:00 pm.Â
