About Me

Hi! I'm Miss Cushman!

I absolutely love teaching math! I have been teaching for about 7 years now. I started by teaching 5th grade at Thomaston Grammar School, and have been here at OMS for the past few years.

I am a local girl, raised right here in South Thomaston. I graduated from Rockland District High School, and then went on to graduate from Maine Maritime Academy with a degree in Marine Science. I was a Lobster Sea Sampler for the DMR for about 5 years after graduating, and I ❤️ being out on the ocean.

My other half, Kevin, is a lobsterman, and we spend summer time out on the ocean in our boat F/V "Quick Step"; we do lobstering, halibut fishing, and even pogie fishing!

I enjoy spending time kayaking, paddle boarding, and hiking. Time outside is time well spent! I even paddle board with my dog, Haley! I also have always danced, and I still take tap classes every week.
