K-2nd Grade
Hi everyone! This is my new Google Sites page that I will be adding to every quarter . Since we don't have bulletin boards like in a brick and mortar building, it's important that we showcase our artists here at The Summit! There are additional Pages (look at the top) for your child's grade level.
4th Quarter Art Work - K-2
In quarter four we concentrated on the theme of Superheroes! We discussed how to make a dynamic 3D image and how to use words in art. We also made dioramas that tell a story with our 3D Art! I will also include some other outstanding art from some other quarters as well!

3rd Quarter Art Work - K-2
In the third quarter we concentrated on painting and what these children have produced is wonderful! I also want to note that the sunflowers were painted in support of Ukraine as it is their national flower.

Primary (k-2). 1st and 2nd quarter
During first quarter we talked about expression and communication in art using color, shape, line and repetition. We referred to certain artists like Henri Matisse and John Turner. We also discussed Culture in the second quarter and "travelled" to different countries around the world. Then we drew different things from those countries.

About me
I was born and raised in Canada and have been teaching for over 30 years! I have taught everything from preschool to university level courses. I have a Masters degree in Education, an undergraduate degree in Art and Art History as and am certified to teach Art (K-12)
