In the first quarter, these grades learned about expression and communication in art using color, texture, shape, line and repetition. This included artists such as Turner and Matisse. In the second quarter we developed drawing skills - 5th and 8th grade focusing on different American artists such as Cassatt, Remington and Grandma Moses. Seventh grade went back in time learning about the Renaissance, Realism, Romanticism, and Impressionism along with a brief overview of history at that time.
