Hello,

My name is Sandy Lundt, this is my third year teaching here at Remsen St. Mary's. Previously, I taught 2rd grade and high school Special Education at River Valley CSD. Currently, I teach 8th grade S.S., 5-6 grade Social Studies, 5-6 Reading as well as 6th grade English/Spelling, and I am the 6th and 7th grade homeroom teacher. I strongly believe that learning is the greatest gift and a life long adventure. I am very excited to grow with your child(ren) this year!

5th and 6th Grade Reading: Each class period will begin with 10 minutes of DEAR time, which means all students are responsible for having a DEAR book every day. I will also read orally to each class a book that we pick as a class. Each grade will be reading stories out of their Reading books, and they will also be reading one or two novels as a class. Students will be writing quite a bit in their journals, and there is usually a writing or a project type assignment involved with most of the stories.

Just a food for thought, I would LOVE to read them so email them to me!!
