About Me

I am a husband and father of three children who barely holds up his end of the domestic bargain.

Since 2011, I have taught at RHS - 11th grade English, AP English Literature, Critical Reading, and now AP English Language.

Education


I graduated from Wheaton College with a B.A. in English.

I taught Freshman Composition I and II at the University of Arkansas while earning an M.A. in English.


I earned a Master's in Educational Leadership from Arkansas Tech University.


Prior Experience


I taught in the Northern Marianas Islands for three years at Mount Carmel School - 10th through 12th grade English, Yearbook, and AP Literature.


I taught at Yew Chung International School in Shanghai, China for two years - 7th though 11th grade IGCSE English, ESL, Composition, and IB English Literature.


The RHS 2020 Mock Trial Team at competition.

Awards & Other Duties

I was RHS Teacher of the Year in 2018.

I am the Assistant Coach of the RHS Speech & Debate Club and was awarded Arkansas Assistant Coach of the Year in 2020.

For the past five years I have scored AP English Literature Exams for College Board.

For the past two years, I have helped create content for College Board's online AP Prep.
