Live Survey Information for: Community Conversation #4 - Defining "What's Next" - Collaborative Workshop

Date: Thursday, November 16, 2023

Time: 6 p.m.

Location: Haddam Killingworth High School Auditorium OR virtually on Comcast Channel 18 OR on the HKTV Live Website

At this presentation, you will have the opportunity to:

• Gain insight into the proposed options for the Master Plan.

• Understand the potential impact on our schools and community.

• Ask questions and share your thoughts with district representatives.

• Participate in a live survey to express your preferences and priorities. This participation can be done both in person & virtually (see below for more details).

If you are unable to attend the meeting in person, we will be providing a live stream for your convenience. The Collaborative Workshop will be able to view on Comcast Channel 18, as well as on our HKTV Live Website. You will still be able to participate in the live survey from home! Once the presentation reaches the time for the live survey, a slide will appear on the screen which will present a QR Code as well as a weblink to connect to the live survey. This will allow those of you who could not attend in person a chance to still provide live feedback.

If you are unable to watch the Collaborative Workshop tonight, not a problem. The recording of the Collaborative Workshop will be posted in the coming days on our HKTV Live Website. We will also open a second survey of the same questions after the workshop to allow those who could not attend in person or virtually the opportunity to provide feedback. The survey will be available on our project website in the coming days.

We are excited to invite you to an important Community Conversation where we will present several final options for the Regional School District #17 Master Plan. The Master Plan is a long-range plan to repair, rebuild or replace the school buildings.

This Master Plan presentation represents the culmination of months of careful planning, collaboration, and community input. Our dedicated board members, in consultation with architects and other experts, have worked diligently to ensure that the Master Plan options align with our schools' educational mission, values and needs.

At this presentation, you will have the opportunity to:

• Gain insight into the proposed options for the Master Plan.

• Understand the potential impact on our schools and community.

• Ask questions and share your thoughts with district representatives.

Community Conversation #3 

Please join us September 13, 2023 at 6:00pm in the High School Auditorium for Community Conversation #3 regarding the District Master Capital Plan. Tecton Architects will be presenting different potential options to the community in efforts for the community to help refine the plan. Prior to the meeting, we will be hosting school tours of the High School for those who couldn't attend our Summer Building Tours in August. Tours will start at the Central Office main lobby area at 4:30pm, 5:00pm, and 5:30pm.

Please join us August 24th & 25th for the communities opportunity to view the campuses of RSD17. On Thursday August 24, 2023 we will be holding tours at 4:00pm & 5:00pm at Killingworth Elementary School & Haddam-Killingworth Intermediate Middle School. On Friday August 25, 2023 we will be holding tours at 4:00pm & 5:00pm at Burr Elementary School & Haddam-Killingworth High School.
