Respect Yourself & Others: Health class involves personal, sensitive topics. Listen actively, avoid put-downs, and maintain confidentiality regarding personal stories shared in class.
Responsibility: Arrive on time, bring your required materials daily, and take ownership of your learning and attitude.
Ready to Learn: Be in your assigned seat when the bell rings with devices put away unless instructed otherwise. Bring computer, notebook, pencil.
Put forth effort. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect that the student keeps trying and working hard.
Come to class with a positive attitude.
Entering the Room: Enter quietly, check the board to see if there is a Warm-up assignment. If so, grab required materials, and begin working immediately.
Class Discussions: Raise your hand and wait to be called on before speaking.
End of Class: The teacher dismisses the class, not the bell. Clean up your desk area before leaving.
Absences: Check Google Classroom for missed work. You have two days per excused absence to submit make-up work for 100% credit. If a student is absent, it is their responsibility to find and complete the missed work.
Late Work: Students may submit late work up to two days after the due date for 50% credit. After the two days are up, the student will score 0% on the missed assignment.
Your grade measures your effort, knowledge, and daily participation in class.
