8th Grade Info Tech

Students will be using Google Classroom daily for assignments and general information.  We're going to cover a huge variety of tech and STEM skills and I would encourage you to ask your student to periodically show you what we're currently working on.  

InfoTech I - Data Analytics and Analysis

This class will have an emphasis on 

-Coding

-Hyperlinking

-Typing Fluency

-Data Analysis with Spreadsheets

-Website Design (If time)

InfoTech II - Digital Media and Production

This class will have an emphasis on

-Coding

-Video Editing and Filming Techniques 

J-cuts, L-cuts, transitions, multi-track audio layering, green screen effects, purposeful angles, and voiceovers are just a few of the many, many things we'll cover. 

Robotics

We received an incredibly generous donation from Seats to purchase a classroom set of Vex IQ robots!  

This class has an emphasis on

-Coding

-Engineering skills and best practices

-Learn by failure (Trial and Error)

-A kinesthetic approach to technology
