This is my 29th year teaching social studies and my 25th at Reedsburg. In addition to my classroom duties, I co-advise the history club and serve as the assistant forensics coach. At the end of every school year I work as a group leader for the College Board scoring A.P. U.S. History exams.
I received my bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin--Eau Claire in 1996 in broadfield social studies with an emphasis in history. I have additional certifications in political science, economics, and geography. In 2003 I earned my master's degree from Viterbo University. I am a past fellow at the University of Wisconsin's Center for the Study of the U.S. Constitution.
My favorite topics to teach are U.S. Supreme Court History, the American presidency, and Russian History.
When not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family and getting on the road as much as possible. Favorite destinations are Milwaukee Brewers games and concerts, especially when Steve Earle or The Mavericks are somewhere in Wisconsin.
