Biography

All my life I've wanted to be a teacher and I am still loving my decision to live out my life-long dream.

This is me now:

Mrs. Brenda Bestor

- wife of Brian (23 years)

- mother of Zachary (3rd year UW-La Crosse), McKenzie (2nd year Ripon College), & Bo (junior at RAHS)

- teacher of students in my 26th year at RAHS.  (Go Beavers!)

This was me then:

Brenda Gunn of Gilman, Wisconsin.  (Go Pirates!)  I grew up in a family of five with my dad, mom, older sister, and twin brother.  In 1998 I graduated from UW-Eau Claire (Go Blugolds!) with a math teaching degree, a coaching degree, and five years of experience as a Blugold basketball player.  I came straight to Reedsburg to pursue my teaching and coaching career as the Varsity girls basketball coach from 1998-2002.  After coaching youth basketball for many years, I now just cheer from the stands instead of the sidelines.

This is my life:

Outside of classroom duties, our family enjoys Beaver athletics and events; Badger, Packer, and Brewer games; camping, water-skiing, fishing, golfing, most any summer outdoor events, and all of our kids' activities.  We also have fun and cherish any time spent with our extended families including our parents, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, because they are all our closest friends.
