Classes at camp engage the students in a variety of learning activities. Hands-on learning is stressed so the students will be actively engaged in what they are studying.
During the school year, students raise salmon to release into the river. While at camp, they also learn about other animal habitats and adaptations.
This class teaches students how to read maps and use a compass. They can later put these skills to work during geocaching.
One part of this class focuses on the interaction between the Earth's spheres, while the other portion is all about water ecology.
The Geology class covers the different types of rocks and layers of earth in our geosphere.
Students learn basic First Aid during one of their classes at camp.
During Forest Ecology students learn about the different native plants around camp.
Students learn how to safely and successfully build a fire. When they are successful they get to toast a marshmallow!
Students get to learn about science in Nature's Classroom.
Students learn important information about survival in the wilderness. They also learn how to build a shelter.
