What does BEAM stand for...

Bringing

Engagement

And

Meaning

When you feel good about yourself and connected to others you BEAM. Your confidence and self esteem shine from within.

Our school based mentoring program "BEAM" aims to help our young students do just that, by bringing engagement and meaning to their secondary school life.

Our program focuses on developing trusting, supportive relationships between carefully matched and trained community volunteers and junior students studying at RSC.

What do we know?

What do we do?

Mentors meet with students for a one-on-one hour-long session every week, passing on life skills, building self-esteem and personal development.

When do we do it?

Students enter the program for two years and the sessions are conducted in the BASE room at Rosebud Secondary College, at the same time each week.

These relationships have the potential to change lives, providing young people with a positive path they may otherwise not have found.

How Can I Help?

There are so many ways you can help make a difference to a young person. We are looking for volunteers, for empathetic members of our community who can provide our vulnerable young people with a stable, supportive adult in their lives.
