Our school based mentoring program "BEAM" aims to help our young students do just that, by bringing engagement and meaning to their secondary school life.
Our program focuses on developing trusting, supportive relationships between carefully matched and trained community volunteers and junior students studying at Rosebud Secondary College.
Mentors meet with students for a one-on-one hour-long session every week, passing on life skills, building self-esteem and personal development.
When do we do it?
Students enter the program for two years and the sessions are conducted in the staffroom at Rosebud Secondary College, at the same time each week.
These relationships have the potential to change lives, providing young people with a positive path they may otherwise not have found.
There are so many ways you can help make a difference to a young person. We are looking for volunteers, for empathetic members of our community who can provide our vulnerable young people with a stable, supportive adult in their lives.
