Yá’át’ééh, — Guwatsi hopa! My name is Pharrah Clark, and I'm from the Navajo Nation and the Pueblo of Laguna. I'm super excited to share that I'm Miss Indian Rio Rancho Public Schools for 2024-2025! As my time in this role wraps up, I'm feeling nostalgic about the incredible journey I've had, meeting new friends and representing Rio Rancho Public Schools. I can't wait to see who steps up as the next RRPS ambassadors, ready to lead, represent our Indigenous students and culture!
Looking back, I have enjoyed so many events. Some of my favorite moments include attending powwows like the Gathering of Nations, Nizhoni Days, and the Flagstaff Powwow. I loved participating in grand entries, addressing the crowd, meeting new people, and enjoying delicious frybread and snow cones! I also had the opportunity to take the crown to Hawaii and will soon be heading to Oregon. Additionally, I have attended local feast days, parades, and more. It’s always great to connect with other royalty at these events. I make it a point to chat and snap some photos, which helps us strengthen our friendships and support each other as we invite one another to more events. Even though some of my royalty friends have already passed down their titles, we still keep in touch!
Being a title holder has been such an honor. I loved motivating and inspiring our communities. Attending pageants like Miss Indian World and Miss Indian New Mexico was amazing! I enjoyed watching the contestants showcase their talents and their future goals. When it was my turn to speak, I would introduce myself in Navajo, and honestly, it made me excited to share my journey as Miss Indian RRPS. Throughout my reign, I've aimed to encourage our youth to express our culture in schools, whether it's through clothing or sharing our knowledge. Plus, I've been advocating for mental and physical wellness goals for our tribal communities, encouraging everyone to start wherever they are. I tracked over 90 miles of running, completed my first 10k race, and I'm starting to train for a half-marathon!
As I prepare to pass on the title of Miss Indian RRPS for 2025-2026, my passion for wellness and cultural representation continues through my involvement with the Notah Begay III Foundation (NB3) Youth Council, NHI's Running Medicine, and my college studies. A massive thank you to my family, coaches, advisors, businesses, and everyone who supported and guided me through this unforgettable year as your Miss Indian RRPS 2024-2025. Ahéhee', Dah wah éh, — Thank you!
