College Credits Earned: When the exam has been passed, the student earns college credits for that course that transfers to the college of choice.
Exam Fee Waiver: The exam fee is waived if we have the 506 form on file and entered with the district office.
No Impact on Grades: If the student does not pass the exam, it does not hurt their grade, but better yet, they will be prepared when they take the exam again.

Advanced Placement Program
The Advanced Placement Program is a national program organized by the College Board that offers college level courses taught by high school teachers. At the end of the course, students are strongly encouraged to take the national exam(s).
These scores are used by many colleges and universities to exempt students from introductory coursework and to provide them with college credit for that course. Each test costs approximately $97. Some students may qualify for a reduced fee.
The Lizard's and Coyote's Slide Ride
The lizards gather at the top of a rocky hill to play their favorite game of sliding down the hill on big flat rocks.
Coyote watches them and thinks, "That looks like fun. I'd like to try it.
"Coyote asks the lizards if he can join in. "Maybe you can try it on a small rock, but you'll probably crash and die if you try the big one," says the old lizard. "It's taken us lizard’s years of practice."
Coyote, being a bit of a show-off, says, "The small rock looks way too easy for me. I'll try the big one."
"You'll be sorry," says the lizard. "You should stick to running and chasing rabbits. You're good at that.
"Coyote steps onto the big rock, tips it, and goes flying down the hill. Coyote loses control and the rock catches the edge of the rocky hill. It flips into the air and takes Coyote with it. Then the big rock falls and squashes Coyote.
The lizards gather around and wonder what to do with the squashed coyote in the middle of the hill. "We can't leave him here, but how can we move him? He’s very heavy." The old lizard says, "We should bring him back to life. Then he could leave on his own. "And so, they did.
They used their magic to bring Coyote back to life. Coyote went on his way and never asked again to join in the lizards' games.
