TEAM REGISTRATION:
Please pay close attention to the information about registration. We will not accept registrations that are past the deadline. All athletes must be registered on MileSplit. Registration will open on 9/1/2026! Coaches must create an account and register their athletes by 8:00 am on Wednesday September 16th.
Coaches, please be conscious about what race you enter your athlete for. If you are not confident he/she cannot finish the race in under 30mn, please register him/her for the c-team race. It helps us stay on schedule and is a better experience for your runner to be with other runners of similar ability.
The NMAA has allowed us to continue allowing individuals to run in the Championship Division even if their team is in the Varsity Division. Varsity Division Teams: If you have an individual that you would like to move up, please message me.
Race changes can be made on the day of the meet at packet-pickup. We will have a form that will need to be filled out. Because of our timing system, coaches MUST report if an athlete is going to run in a race other than what he/she was registered in.
*Note: If a team is traveling over 2 hours to the meet, they may run more than 7 runners in the JV race. ALL Metro area teams may only run 7 in the JV. Please email me if you plan to run more than 7 in JV at philip.keller@rrps.net before the entry deadline.
Here is a video that helps explain the registration process: https://support.milesplit.com/en/a/how-do-i-enter-my-team-in-a-meet
TEAM ENTRY FEES:
Entry is $80.00 per single gender team, $120.00 for combined boy’s and girl’s teams. Middle school teams will be $80.00. A school bringing high school and middle school athletes will be $200. Entry Fees are waived if your school hosts Rio Rancho High School Cross Country Team this season. If you are a small team (less than 14 boys and girls combined, middle and high school), pay $80.
If you need an invoice, here is one you can use. If you need a quote, here is one for you! You can make a copy or download it and adjust it as needed for your team.
Teams can pay online at this link.

CHAMPIONSHIP / VARSITY DIVISIONS:
The Varsity Races will be divided into two divisions - Championship and Varsity Divisions! Divisions will be divided up by meet management. If you want to race your team in a different division, please email Coach Keller (philip.keller@rrps.net). You may also race individuals up in the Championship as well.
AWARDS:
Team Awards will be presented immediately after the conclusion of each race. The awards ceremony will take place in the middle of the football stadium. Trophies will be awarded to the Top 3 Teams in each division.
TOP 20 individual awards will be handed out at the finish line. We will then announce the top 20 individuals in the middle of the football field at the conclusion of each race.
SPECTATOR ENTRY FEE: Ticket Link
As per district policy, all spectators will be charged to enter the facility. Cost is $5.00 (plus a $1 service charge) per person. This year, entry fees will be paid online using Hometown Athletics. Although there will be credit card readers when cars enter the parking lot, we ask that everyone purchase their tickets ahead of time and have the receipt ready on their phone when they drive in. Remember, the charge is per person, NOT per car. There will be some handicap parking spots available closer to the Football Stadium / Finish Line. As per RRPS District Policy, no dogs are allowed on campus.
PARKING:
Here is the parking information and maps. Spectators should enter through the Loma Colorado Blvd entrance to the main student parking lot. Buses can enter off of Broadmoor Blvd NE and drop off near the starting line area BEFORE 7:45am. After dropping off, busses need to go back out the same entrance and drive around the school to park. Any school/bus arriving after 7:45am, should enter at the north school entrance off of Loma Colorado and park behind school.
RESULTS:
Results will be posted online at Milesplit within minutes of the last runner finishing.
