ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR THE 2026/2027 SCHOOL YEAR FOR RIOTECH IS NOW CLOSED
There will not be a "Schedule Pickup" this year.
Instead, all schedules will be released on the first day of school. If you are missing any of thecompleted all tasks, you will NOT receive an email.
Online Registration must be completed
Proof of Residency and/or Address Verification forms must be turned in
Any expired legal documents must be updated and turned in
Any fees and fines must be paid (or items returned)
Updated Immunization records must be turned in
If you do not have a Parent PowerSchool account, please stop by the front office to request a Parent PowerSchool Letter or email the Registrar at noel.chavez@rrps.net for Parent PowerSchool information. This is the only way to register your students, please do NOT register as a "New Student."
All incoming students that have been accepted through the lottery process that are currently enrolled in a Rio Rancho Public School are considered "Returning Students." If your student has been accepted to attend RioTECH, pleae note that there will NOT be a drop down box to select RioTECH as their next school so, you will have to select your current comprehensive HS. The Registrar will take care of getting your student pushed to RioTECH in PowerSchool Enrollment and PowerSchool SIS.
Please DO NOT enroll your student as New Students. Instead, register your student through your Parent PowerSchool account.
All students will need to provide a Proof of Residency before their registration will be completed and a schedule is given. This is a District Policy for all students. Proof of Residencies that are accepted are as follows: CURRENT gas, electric, water, lease or mortgage bill. You will be able to upload these at the time of your online student registration.
New Students, who have been accepted through the Lottery Process who are coming from other districts or states, will be able to enroll your students through rrps.net under New Student Registration.
If you have been in a RRPS school before, but your student is NOT currently enrolled in RRPS, you will still need to register as a New Student.
Before enrolling online, please be prepared to upload the following documents: Unofficial Transcripts, Immunization Records, Proof of residency (RRPS accepts Current gas, electric, water, lease or mortgage bill ONLY, Proof of Age (Birth Certificate), Legal Guardian Docs if applicable, IEP or 504 documents if applicable. **If these are not loaded at the time of online registration, you will not be able to go back and upload later and will result in your students registration getting rejected until all documents are received.
