Bienvenue à notre classe de français!

It is with great excitement that I welcome you to our French class. Sharing my language and culture is an immense pleasure and honor. My French-Canadian ethnicity will allow me to provide you with authentic experiences with one of the French cultures and share with you unique perspectives and insights with the different French cultures worldwide. I believe language acquisition should take root in culture-based world knowledge, and experience-based learning. In accordance with this view point, we will approach our learning in a communicative, creative way. You will appropriate French language through active participation in interactions, and by means of authentic inputs from which you will acquire the rules of the language.

I was born and raised in Montréal, Québec, Canada and I moved to the United States of America in 2008. With this incredible change of environment, I got to truly understand how learning a new language and culture enhances your comprehension and grasp of your own native language and culture. This new understanding and appreciation for differences awoke in me a calling that had always been there, teaching. I have always had an insatiable desire for new knowledge and experiences, and I realized that teaching is the path for those who seek constant learning. Outside the classroom, I love spending time discovering the outdoors with my wonderful family.

I believe we are all unique and we all have something special to contribute to our education. Our classroom will be a safe and comfortable environment where we can express ourselves , embraces our uniqueness and our differences.
