Professional Information

After completing a bachelor's degree in Jewish history from the University of New Mexico, I began teaching German in January of 2011, while also working on my master's degree in German studies. During this time, I had the opportunity to teach at UNM's prestigious German Summer School in Taos Ski Valley and instructed a variety of levels, including German 101, 102, 201, and 202 as well as full immersion classes. Once I finished my master's degree, I began teaching at V. Sue Cleveland High School (in January of 2014), where we have the second largest German program in the state of New Mexico.

Personal Information

I was born in Bennington, Vermont in 1987 and moved to Albuquerque with my family eight years later. Growing up, I played a lot of soccer (both for my high school and AYSO as a student, and ASL as an adult) and a lot of video games. I attended Southwest Secondary Learning Center (an Albuquerque area charter school) for high school, graduating in 2005. In college, I fostered a personal interest in ancient history as well as ancient Semitic languages, particularly ancient Hebrew and ancient Phoenician, while studying Jewish history. I live in Albuquerque, and continue to be an avid reader, play video games, and travel the Southwest during my free time.
