AP Human Geography Retake Policy

THIS WILL ONLY TAKE PLACE IF YOU HAVE LOWER THAN A 90%

Quizzes:

1. Students will show teacher their completed outline and vocabulary for the unit.

2. IF outline and vocab are both 100% complete a reassessment will take place. (Maximum retake score 90%)

3. Alternative Assignment: Student will complete 3 of the “Think Geographically” activities from the book for that unit or chapter-depending on the quiz they want to retake. Teacher will give revised grade based on the students overall effort into the assignment as well as completion of the assignment in the 5 day make up period.

Tests: NO CURVE ON RETAKES!!!!!!

1. Students will only qualify for a retake IF they have turned in a complete binder prior to taking the unit test the first time.

2. After students have shown the teacher their completed binder, they will have 5 days to do either a handwritten outline or the study guide from the chapters in the unit, whichever they did not do the first time around. (And…depending on the unit they may have to outline 2 or more chapters.) This will help them to relearn the material in hopes of getting a better grade on the retake.

3. If student turns in the completed outline in the 5 day period, they may take a retake of the multiple choice exam or the FRQ portion of the exam during their lunch or before school. (They may not take a retake during class it has to be on their own time.)

4. MAXIMUM RETAKE SCORE-90%
