Hello! I'm Laura Adams, the Special Education Instructional Leader at Colinas. The SEIL is responsible for coordinating meetings and ensuring that all IEPs and related documents are complete, correct, and compliant with both federal and state laws. I also monitor our SE (Special Education) programming here at Colinas to confirm that all students are receiving their designated services. I have the privilege of collaborating as an instructional coach with an amazing team of special education teachers and educational assistants (EAs), who work tirelessly to provide equitable access to all opportunities at Colinas del Norte.
On a personal note, I have 3 grown children and 3 fantastic grandchildren- with another due in December! I moved to New Mexico from Texas in 2024 and feel an incredible connection to this land and people. I'm so happy to be here! I enjoy reading, historical sites, crystals, some crafting/sewing, cats, and a bit of hiking now and then.
